दूरहुं देखि, डंडउत करि ll
Seeing from afar, he bowed down.

बिप सुदामा दालिदी बाल सखाई मित्र्र सदाए।

ਪਹੁਤਾ ਨਗਰਿ ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਸਿੰਘਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਜਾਏ।
पहुता नगरि दुआरका सिंघि दुआरि खलोता जाए।
He arrived at Dwarka (Krishna’s capital) and stood at its Lion gate (the Royal fort’s entrance).
ਦੂਰਹੁੰ ਦੇਖਿ, ਡੰਡਉਤ ਕਰਿ ll
दूरहुं देखि, डंडउत करि ll
Seeing from afar, he bowed down.

छडि सिंघासणु, हरि जी आए ll
Leaving his lion throne, Lord Hari came.
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਦਖਣਾ ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈ ਕੈ ਲੈ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਏ।
पहिले दे परदखणा पैरी पै कै लै गलि लाए।
First he circumambulated Sudama, then touched his feet and embraced him.
ਚਰਣੋਦਕੁ ਲੈ ਪੈਰ ਧੋਇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣੁ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾਏ।
चरणोदकु लै पैर धोइ सिंघासणु उते बैठाए।
Krishna took the utensil and washed Sudama’s feet, then made him sit on his throne.
ਪੁਛੇ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਏ।
पुछे कुसलु पिआरु करि गुर सेवा दी कथा सुणाए।
Krishna lovingly enquired about his well-being & reminisced about the days when they served Guru (Sandipani) together.
ਲੈ ਕੈ ਤੰਦੁਲ ਚਬਿਓਨੁ ਵਿਦਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਗੈ ਪਹੁਚਾਏ।
लै कै तंदुल चबिओनु विदा करे अगै पहुचाए।
Krishna asked for and ate the rice (sent by Sudama’s wife), and then personally saw Sudama off.
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸਕੁਚਿ ਪਠਾਏ ॥੯॥
चारि पदारथ सकुचि पठाए ॥९॥
