Rajan Kaun Tumhare Aave | Sant Kabir Das Ji | Gurbani Shabad

Encounter the time when Lord Krishna chose to dismiss the extravagant offerings of Duryodhana, favoring instead the humble nourishment from Vidura’s unpretentious home. Despite Duryodhana’s royal feasts, Krishna’s choice reveals a deeper significance. His decision resonates with the essence of true devotion (Bhakti) that surpasses materialistic opulence.

Witness how Lord Krishna relishes even the simplest of offerings — banana peels, provided by Vidura’s spouse. A testament to the profound fact that what matters is not the grandeur of the offering but the Bhakti in one’s heart.

Ang 1105 of Guru Granth Sahib | Sant Kabir Das Ji

O King (Duryodhana), who’ll come unto you?!

Such devotion I’ve seen in Vidura;
That that pauper pleases me more.

Gazing at your elephants (riches) you’re so lost in illusion;
Have no knowledge of Bhagwan’s resplendence.

Between your milk & Vidura’s water;
I partook the latter as ambrosial nectar.

I found his stray vegetables delicious as Kheer (Madhuparkam in Mahabharata text);
We spent the night singing Glories of Divine.

Kabir’s Lord is joyous & playful;
Doesn’t care about devotee’s status, caste.
