अंदरि सभा दुसासणै, मथेवाल द्रोपती आंदी।
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭਾ ਦੁਸਾਸਣੈ ਮਥੇਵਾਲ ਦ੍ਰੋਪਤੀ ਆਂਦੀ।
To the assembly, Dushasana [second eldest Kaurava prince]
Dragged Draupadi [wife of Pandava cousins] by her hair in.
दुता नो फुरमाइआ, नंगी करहु पंचाली बांदी।
ਦੁਤਾ ਨੋ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਨੰਗੀ ਕਰਹੁ ਪੰਚਾਲੀ ਬਾਂਦੀ।
He [Dushasana] commanded his men,
“Strip naked this maidservant, this Daughter of Panchal! [Draupadi]”
अखी मीटि धिआनु धरि, हाहा हाहा हाहा हाहा, हाहा क्रिसन करै बिललांदी।
ਅਖੀ ਮੀਟਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਿ, ਹਾਹਾ ਹਾਹਾ ਹਾਹਾ ਹਾਹਾ, ਹਾਹਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਲਲਾਂਦੀ।
With her eyes enclosed & mind concentrated.

पंजे पांडो वेखदे, अउघटि रुधी नारि जिन्हां दी।
ਪੰਜੇ ਪਾਂਡੋ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਅਉਘਟਿ ਰੁਧੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ।
All five Pandava brothers watched,
As their wife wrestled with calamity.
कपड़ कोटु उसारिओनु, थके दूत न पारि वसांदी।
ਕਪੜ ਕੋਟੁ ਉਸਾਰਿਓਨੁ, ਥਕੇ ਦੂਤ ਨ ਪਾਰਿ ਵਸਾਂਦੀ।
The servants removed a mountain of clothes,
And tired as her garment would never end.
हथ मरोड़नि सिर धुणनि, पछोतानि करनि जाहि जांदी।
ਹਥ ਮਰੋੜਨਿ ਸਿਰ ਧੁਣਨਿ ਪਛੋਤਾਨਿ ਕਰਨਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
Wringing their hands & scratching foreheads,
[Servants] wondered if it’s them being humiliated.
घरि आई ठाकुर मिले, पैज रही बोले शरमांदी।
ਘਰਿ ਆਈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ, ਪੈਜ ਰਹੀ ਬੋਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਂਦੀ।
Back at home, Lord [Krishna] met her.
“You saved my honor,” she coyly said.
नाथ अनाथां बाणि धुरांदी ॥८॥
ਨਾਥ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਬਾਣਿ ਧੁਰਾਂਦੀ ॥੮॥
Indeed thy are the refuge of orphans
As sung from time immemorial.
