Did you know small to medium-sized businesses are hit by cyberattacks 4,000 times a day? Is your company prepared?

As a result of increased concerns over cyberattacks, businesses who have contracts or sub-contracts with the Department of Defense must be in compliance with defined cybersecurity requirements no later than Dec. 31st, 2017. The University of Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) are hosting two cybersecurity workshops to identify what your business needs to meet cybersecurity requirements in 2017.

Attendees will hear from Pat Toth, cybersecurity expert from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), learn about NIST Special Publication 800–171 and its requirements, network and meet with cybersecurity experts, and see live product demonstrations of cybersecurity solutions.

Morning workshop: Tuesday, Aug. 29th from 9am-11am, Salt Lake Community College, Miller Campus Free Enterprise Center Auditorium, 9750 S. 300 W., Sandy, UT 84070. Register

Afternoon workshop: Tuesday, Aug. 29th from 1:30pm-3:30pm, Weber State University, Davis Campus, Building D3, 2750 University Park Blvd, Layton, UT 84041. Register
