Sam Smith Will Speak At Silicon Slopes Tech Summit 2018
The event will be held at the Salt Palace in SLC on January 18–19.
Sam Smith, founder of the Reputation AI spoke within Consensys, has been confirmed as a speaker at Silicon Slopes Tech Summit 2018.
Samuel M. Smith Ph.D. is the founder of the Reputation A.I. spoke within Consensys, the largest decentralized organization creating apps on Ethereum. He is building a decentralized cross-chain portable reputation platform to enable trustworthy interations on blockchain based applications. He also wrote the original white-paper for self-sovereign identity using distributed consensus which has now become Sovrin.org. He serves on the technical governance board of Sovrin.org. He originated the open source RAET protocol, an elliptic curve based end-to-end encrypted and authenticated protocol for reliable peer-to-peer transport. He also the originated the open source Ioflo flow based programming and AI framework. Samuel received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1991. He then spent 10 years at Florida Atlantic University, eventually reaching full professor status. His research specialties included automated reasoning, machine learning, and autonomous vehicle systems. He has over 100 refereed publications in these areas and was principle investigator on numerous federally funded research projects. Dr. Smith has been an active participant in open standards development for networking protocols and is a serial entrepreneur.
