Bywater will oversee customer operations, human resources , field services and supply chain, the company said in a statement. Bywater joins Vivint from Xerox where he was COO of its state government services group. Previously he worked at Affiliated Computer Services, which Xerox purchased in 2009. He studied economics at BYU and earned and MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bywater “has been extremely successful taking organizations to the next level,” said Alex Dunn, Vivint’s president. “And because innovation and growth are trademarks of Vivint’s culture, we felt his expertise and skill set were the perfect fit for our company as we continue to expand.”

The company has named several C-level executives this year. Those include chief information officer Todd Thompson, Todd Santiago as chief sales officer and Matt Eyring as chief strategy and innovation officer.

“Our executive team is one of the reasons Vivint is a success,” said Todd Pedersen, chief executive officer. “During the 13 years we’ve been in business, Vivint has become one of the fastest growing companies in our industry. I have high expectations that with the talent and drive we’re bringing to the team, the goals we’ve already achieved are just the beginning.”
