Vivint names Starwood, JetBlue executive as CIO

Vivint, the home automation and security company, named Todd Thompson as its chief information officer.
Thompson replaces JT Hwang who will become the company’s chief technology officer, the Provo-based company said in a statement.
“Supporting our culture of innovation with advanced technology and effective processes has always been a priority, and Todd’s experience in IT leadership will be a huge asset to our business,” president Alex Dunn said in a statement.
Thompson was previously CIO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and CIO of JetBlue Airways. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, according to his LinkedIn profile.
