Oculus announced Oculus Start a new program for VR developers, you can join for free and you get a year of Unity Plus for free for joining visit developer.oculus.com for details.

Oculus also announced the release of Platform Level Stats Reports, its a 28 day rolling report on Oculus hardware statistics for developers to look at, it includes Oculus Hardware Phone Model Statistics to help developers make informed decisions.

Incase you missed the news the HTC Vive with controllers and base stations dropped in price you can now get it for $499 https://www.vive.com/us/ The Vive Pro price for the headset alone without a base station or controllers was announced to be $799. It remains to be seen how well the Vive Pro will sell but it’s price is higher than many people expected and a lot of folks online in Virtual Reality groups seem to be upset by the high price which is greater than expected.
