Written Inside of Spaces

COVERING THE BASICS
I am writing this from inside of VR, finger peck by finger peck I am going to write this entire article from inside VR using Spaces.
Spaces is the social vr app, created by Facebook, that everyone in this industry should pay close attention to. If you haven`t tried it, you need to.
When you enter Spaces you have a 360 image of a park that completely surrounds you. It’s like you are inside of a 360 image. In front of you there is a table with a menu.
If you need to re-center the table so that it is in front of you, look at your right wrist and press it with your left pointer finger (I call this the E.T. finger).
Right Hand — Re-center
Left hand-
The pause button pauses Spaces
The other button that looks like a table with a line going through it controls the table view. Touch it once the table disappears but other items and drawings remain. Touch it twice, everything disappears. The third tap will bring it all back.
MENU OPTIONS ( I will cover each individual option and explore the different possibilities in another chapter).
Media
When opening ‘Media’, multiple screens will appear.
Saved — You can save videos from inside Facebook to view within Spaces. Find an image, video or 360 you would like to view in Spaces from Facebook, click the 3 dots (outlined with red) and then click add to saved.
Timeline- Your most recent images, videos, and 360`s that was added to Facebook.
Following Recent videos and 360`s from people and pages you are following.
Explore- 360 video suggestions from Facebook
Tools-
(I will go into more details of each individual option in another chapter)
On the top row:
PC Display-Bring your PC inside of Spaces and have full control over your PC in VR
Dice- Play games
Bottom row:
Mirror- Multiple uses
Pen- To draw and write
Selfie Stick -Take selfies inside Spaces
Live Camera-Go live on Facebook
Friends
The friends section of the menu allows for you to connect with friends that are also in Spaces. You can invite them to join your space or request to join theirs.
You can also call friends through messenger in this section or send private messages.
Appearance-
Under the appearance mirror you will see different features you can choose to create different looks (see inside the red marked below)
Off to the side laying on the table you see a sheet of sun glasses and one a shirt.
When you pick the sheets up they open and give options for the style and color of glasses and shirts.
MENU 2
The red marks surrounds the arrows that are used to scroll to other menu options
Drawings — A collection of art pieces from Facebook that can be used within your space. You can also save your personal art to this section.
Settings — See the image below
Move — Allows you to change positions around the table
