My Two Cents

There are certain words that I’ve always had a feeling would be rejected by the Spelling Bee and I would end up writing about. Guanabana is one such word. I grew up eating the fruit and drinking the shakes made from the pulp. (By the way, if you want to pronounce it like Spanish-speakers do, place the accent on the “na” syllable: gwa-NA-ba-na.)
