News: Silta Finance partners with prominent P3 transaction advisor Profinstance Advisory

This partnership enables Silta to leverage the extensive expertise of Profinstance as a P3 transaction advisor in Turkey, the CIS and MENA regions and Eastern Europe in the development of the Silta solution.

Istanbul-based Profinstance Advisory is a prominent financial advisory in the long-term debt markets. With this partnership, Profinstance will contribute to the Silta ecosystem and review aspects of the Silta solution, particularly the creditworthiness components. As part of the experimentation phase of the project, Profinstance will provide feedback on the application portal and governance, and assist in the optimisation of the creditworthiness process as well as project performance monitoring.

The markets that Profinstance operates in, like many others globally, experience difficulties in financing small scale infrastructure projects valued up to $50M due to the complexity of traditional financing processes.

Özlem Kıldır, CEO and founder of Profinstance Advisory, is a project financier who has completed over $20bn of financing in Turkish and international markets. “What we are aiming for in this partnership is to provide an alternative financing model for both our customers and infrastructure projects in the region, but also to provide project finance knowledge in emerging markets, including Turkey’s financial market development” she says. “What we’re seeing in the global market is that Covid-19 has affected the financing sector. There’s a global trend to use DeFi for groups where traditional financing is not competitive enough. What will happen is that DeFi will provide equity or loan to finance infrastructure projects. ​​There is future room to use DeFi, for local customers, searching for funding opportunities in their overseas projects.”

Profinstance is a provider of project finance training to governmental entities and private companies and an official trainer for banks and other types of financial institutions, both local and international. With this partnership, they also see an opportunity to provide DeFi training to their long-term prominent customers in the market.
