Silta Finance x Joepegs Charity Week 2022
A multi-chain event with real-world impact. Launching in early September.
Alongside Joepegs, we have created ‘Charity Week’, a week-long Non-Fungible Token (NFT) event in which the proceeds will go to Carbon180, a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) that aims to reverse two centuries of carbon emissions.
We have spent weeks gathering some of the most talented artists on both the Avalanche and Fantom blockchains, so they can come together and unite for an agreeable cause; our future.
How will this work?
Initially, there will be a Twitter Space launched with Silta Finance and Joepegs as the hosts. During this Twitter Space, we will be having a fireside chat about Avalanche and Fantom, speaking about everything related to both blockchains! Then, when the time is right, Joepegs will sound off the beginning of the auction, that will last for the duration of the Twitter Spaces, approximately 2.5 – 3 hours.
All artworks will be auctioning simultaneously, to ensure a fair auction.
Post-auction a limited ‘Scrapbook’ mint will be made available, that will include drafts of all the artworks produced. These will cost 0.5 AVAX for minting, with all the profits going towards Carbon180. The mint will last for a week. Once the week is over, you will not be able to mint the Scrapbook again.
The event will take place in early September. Final date TBA.
Charity
We have chosen Carbon180 as the charity to support for several reasons which are:
- Same core goal as Silta, a green future;
- Accepting crypto donations via ‘The Life You Can Save’
- Their impressive team, with one of their Co-Founders being listed in Forbes 30 under 30 for Social Impact;
- Their efficiency of $0.66 per every metric tonne of CO2 removed from the atmosphere;
- Their methodology of attacking the situation.
We believe that Carbon180 will be efficient with our funds and represent our best interests.
Sale breakdown
- 93% of the final auction price for each piece will be sent to Carbon180;
- 7% will be sent to the artist for their artwork.
- 100% of the Scrapbook mint will go to the charity.
- All of the above is minus the transaction fees.

We figured, Ava Labs is the reason that all of us are here together, it would be amiss to not include them in a community auction.
The wallet that will hold the funds will be a multi-sig wallet with keys held by Joepegs and Silta Finance. Once the auction and mint are concluded, the respective funds will be sent to the artists, with the remaining being sent to an Avalanche Core Wallet that will bridge the assets to Bitcoin (BTC) and donated to the charity.
Once conducted, the transaction hash will be publicly posted on our Twitter page.
