Mr. Johnson, the college principal, sat behind the wheel of his car, his hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His heart pounded as he spoke on the phone with Mr. Smith, the college founder. Every word from Mr. Smith’s calm, steady voice only served to heighten Mr. Johnson’s anxiety.

“They’re on their way,” Mr. Johnson said, his voice trembling with nervousness.

“Relax, Johnson,” Mr. Smith replied, his tone calm and composed. “I’ve informed Officer Harper about the situation. He’s a trusted officer and is en route.”

Mr. Johnson’s concern grew. “Why did you hire him?” he asked, his voice barely concealing his panic.

Mr. Smith lowered his voice, adding a touch of urgency. “I paid him to help us. He’s a complicated man, but he’s loyal.”

In the back seat, two students, Liam and Henry, were growing increasingly restless. Liam, his face pale and eyes darting around anxiously, suddenly lunged for the car door handle.

“Stop! What are you doing?” Mr. Johnson shouted, slowing the car to a near crawl to ensure Liam didn’t hurt himself.

But Liam didn’t listen. Seizing the moment, he flung the door open and bolted out, sprinting towards the beach. Henry, startled but determined, leaped out after…
