We’ve read enough “Top 5 Books for Every Filmmaker” or “10 Ways to Write Better Screenplays” articles to last a lifetime. If you have a truly original story burning inside you, we want to see it! Here’s how to share your work:

Instead, this is what you’re going to write based on our instructions.

You Can Publish Your Scripts:

1.1 Showcase Original Work: The scripts you publish should be entirely your own creation. This means developing your own characters, plotlines, and unique voice. If you took heavy inspiration from an existing story, acknowledge this clearly at the end of your script.

  • Example: “The central premise of this script was inspired by the folktale ‘The Little Red Hen’, but the characters and setting are entirely my own.”

1.2 Own Your Story: As the writer, you are responsible for your work. This means being open to constructive feedback and thoughtfully considering questions about your choices.

  • Example: Someone asks, “Why did your protagonist make that decision? It didn’t seem to fit her personality.” Be prepared to address this thoughtfully, perhaps explaining the internal conflict the character was facing.
