The world has 7 billion people.

Some of these people are in tech.

Some of them start companies.

Some of these companies launch online games.

They start mostly on AWS (Amazon Web Services).

When their usage grows, they are tempted to move away because it becomes more expensive than running it by yourself.

So, Amazon created Lumberyard, so the lock-in will prevent you from going away.

But possibly, Amazon will disrupt this sector and drive down costs for everybody.

So, it’s not entirely a bad thing.
