“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Ephesians 6:10‭-‬20 KJV)

There has an endless age-long debate as to whether or not a christian can be possessed or manipulated or oppressed by demons. The bottomline however still remains that we wrestle and our wrestle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

These demonic powers have been following and fighting us since we were children. As we walk through life we keep adding on until they build a stronghold in our lives. The devil has wanted to steal, kill, and destory you since you were a child. It’s not like the demons discivered you in recent times; you must wake up to this spiritual reality.

Casting them out is only one step in the right direction. Luke 11:24 teaches that when unclean spirits are casted out, they roam about in dry places looking for rest, and finding none they return to where they were casted out. Casting them is only one step; there is more that we must do to keep them out and under control. When you cast out devils the demons only go out to seek another place of rest. I believe the church must be taught how to wrestle and subdue evil powers.

2 Cor 10:3–4 teaches that though we walk in the flesh, we don’t war after the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of stronghold. There are spiritual powers fighting us always which we must subdue and put under control. This is how we really defeat satanic powers.

Three simple steps to break free from bondge and progressively succeed are:

1. Fulfill all righteousness:

Do all it takes to stand by due process. Do all it take to stand but also remember that there is something higher than following procedures and processes. We are wrestling principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Do all it takes but remember the world is deeper than systems and processes.

2. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might:

We must fortify ourselves spiritually to withstand the wiles of the enemy.

3. Put on the whole armour of God:

We must be fully dressed for war. We must be combat ready if we can win the war over darkness. The call is to put on the whole aromour of God and stand firm to resist.

4. Pray with watching, fasting, perserverance, supplication, and longsuffering:

We can do no less if we want to win the war over evil.

Stay blessed; I love you
