How do I increase likes for a Facebook Page?

Why do you want to increase likes on your Facebook Page? Do you even need more likes? Let’s check this.

When I think about Facebook, I think about my mum. She’s using it as much — if not more — than my niece uses TikTok. Let’s go to her profile and see what she recently shared.

Ok, so I saw her sharing posts from this page many times:

https://www.facebook.com/eveilchamanique/

‘Gislaine Duboc “Eveil Chamanique”’ is about shamanic awakening and it’s in French. So it’s not a popular widespread topic, it’s narrow, it’s a small niche.

Even though, it happens Gislaine Duboc has:

133 734 likes

216 864 subscribers

That’s a lot! She must do something right. Let’s see what that is…

1. She posts at least once every day

Gislaine posts at least one video every day

She’s showing up, she’s out there on Facebook every single day. May it rain, may it snow, she posts once or twice a day.

And people know it. Some might even wait for her daily post. They need their shot of Gislaine.

Consistency and regularity are key.

2. She does what she likes

Gislaine posts what she likes, videos

Everything is in her videos. And they’re short. They last ~3 min.

She also does one interview every other week. Those last about 20–40 min.

The text is short too. It’s one sentence when she posts a video and ~10 lines with an image.

Finally, she ends her post with ~15 #. My guess is that she posts the same video on all Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

3. Engagement varies

this post only has 2 comments and 9 shares
This post has 3600 comments and 9300 shares?!

She has:

From 2 to 3600 comments

And from 9 to 9300 shares

Still, she keeps showing up, recording and posting her videos every day. It doesn’t matter if she gets 2 or 3000 comments.

She’s a pro. She shows up and does her work. Whatever happens after that happens, it doesn’t matter.

4. She uses several medias

Gislaine is on many medias: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, websites and books

She’s on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. She has three different websites and projects, and published a book. They’re all linked and, together, makes her message spread wider.

So:

  1. post every day on one social media
  2. post on as many medias as possible

In that order.

5. She’s been doing this for 7 years

Gislaine first picture on Facebook is from 2015

Her Facebook Page was created in 2013. There’s a high chance she’s been posting videos every day for a few years now.

I tried to look as far back as I could and her first pictures are from 2015. So it’s ok to assume she’s been posting regularly since 2015. We’re in 2022 when I’m writing this, so it’s been 7 years.

6. She posts about topics important to her

She’s a therapist and her page is about shamanic awakening. The topics she talks about in her videos are about what she feels make us human. Our little happiness, memories from childhood, daily emotional scars.

Your Facebook Page might not be about shamanic awakening or childhood memories. You can still talk about topics important to you.

Think about it. What is it that you really want to do with your Facebook Page? What change do you want to make? What difference do you wish to see?

Let’s wrap up.

Gislaine and her Facebook Page ‘Gislaine Duboc “Eveil Chamanique”’ do a few things right, she:

  1. posts every day
  2. does what she likes
  3. doesn’t mind engagement metrics
  4. uses several medias
  5. has been doing this for 7 years
  6. and posts about topics important to her

It has nothing to do with checking how many likes your Page has, and it works.

And you, do you also do those 6 things?
