We — @trainedmonk3y and I — love Christmas. Every year we come up with new ways to celebrate, and for the last year or two, this has involved a scheme that involves the song The Twelve Days of Christmas. This year, we are using the song lyrics to share our joy with our respective communities. Little gifts for strangers, gestures of care for the people around us, expressions of love to each other and our friends & family: this is how we’re celebrating Christmas this year.

Christmas has always been such an exciting and celebratory month for me. Not only do we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, but also anticipate a new beginning. For me, this has been hard in the last few years. Life sometimes felt bleak, and the desire to celebrate became less and less exciting. In fact, I tried to stay away. But @s_chacko came up with this idea a few years back to celebrate each other, and frankly it gave me something to get excited about.

In 2014, that changed. I did a little soul-searching and became a whole lot more introspective. Christmas became exciting again; the New Year is hopeful! Thinking about celebrating Christmas led me back to The Twelve Days of Christmas, but I wanted to look outside of the two of us. I really wanted to give back. But we, Citrus Sunshine, like big productions, and this combined all of our loves: Our love of Christmas AND our love of story telling.

So in this our “Twelve Days of Christmas”, this is what we are giving to you…
