Forbes recently published an article about Chinese central bank’s DC/EP (digital currency and electronic payment). Soon after, another source pointed out the launch time of this digital currency in the article (November 11) is not accurate.
Whether it is the topic of consumption, or the clarification made due to confidentiality reasons, Chinese central bank’s digital currency seems ready to go both internally and externally.
Internally, by connecting into Alipay and TenPay systems, the central bank will be able to enforce a long-term supervision on these huge third-party payment business.
Externally, in the context of the ongoing trade war, using technology to achieve a low-aggressive non-sovereign currency is clearly the appeal of China and most countries and regions under the threat of US dollar hegemony.
This trend will be unstoppable, and all the stable coin systems will become an important force to promote the success of this social experiment.
One of the reasons why I am optimistic about SIPC is its design. SimpleChain reserves the access and compatibility to connect stable coins. The integration of stable coins into a multi-subchain public blockchain will become an essential part of its ecosystem.
