Nervos has been getting a lot of attention lately due to a new round of funding and their upcoming mainnet launch. If you have been keeping an eye on SimpleChain’s community observations, or if you’re familiar with the history of Hangzhou’s blockchain scene, you’d know that the SimpleChain team and the Nervos team have some history. The founders of these two project have worked together before, and both chains chose PoW as the consensus.

I remember reading about Vitalik’s visit to Hangzhou a few years ago. A bunch of blockchain researchers/enthusiasts attended that meetup, one of which later founder SimpleChain, and another founded Nervos.

I’ve attended a few Nervos meetups and talked with their tech team, and I could feel their passion and dedication to blockchain technology.

Lately, Nervos is getting a lot of media attention, and the price of SIPC has been going up. These are great examples of tech-oriented projects gaining small successes on the journey!

About SimpleChain

The mission of SimpleChain is to simplify the blockchain for business.

SimpleChain is a PoW main chain with flexible sub-chains. Different sub-chains can adopt different kinds of consensus and block data structure as needed, to enable a variety of applications and use cases on blockchain. Sharding is also implemented to improve performance. This double-layered structure of one main chain and multiple sub-chains can fuel various applications while ensuring the consistency of the network.

Built on VeraxChain, SimpleChain’s first sub-chain, Baoquan.com provides record keeping services which serves to keep records of online data and authenticate electronic evidence. In June 2018, Hangzhou Internet Court of China judged a case of copyright dispute based on data stored on Baoquan.com. For the first time in China, the legal effect of the electronic data stored on blockchain is recognized in the judicial system.
