It’s been two weeks since China’s President Xi’s speech on blockchain, and in these two weeks, the development of blockchain industry both inside and outside China seems to have pressed the fast forward button.

China’s central bank basically decided on the use of blockchain for DC/EP, and China National Development and Reform Commission has scraped its plan to eliminate Bitcoin mining industry. Hong Kong’s financial regulator published new rules that would allow cryptocurrency exchanges to receive an operating licence. German banks are pushing for a common European payments platform and a digital version of the euro.

The blockchain industry is indeed stepping out of a niche circle and gaining more attention from the general public.

Just like a few days ago when B.VIP was launched, a lot of important figures from traditional finance industry or traditional, non-Internet-related capital funds expressed interest and joined B.VIP’s DAO one after another.

I think these are all signals of blockchain becoming more and more mainstream, and for those working in the blockchain industry, the road forward has become more clear and certain.

With more applications bring more values, blockchain will reach everywhere.

About SimpleChain

The mission of SimpleChain is to simplify the blockchain for business.

SimpleChain is a PoW main chain with flexible sub-chains. Different sub-chains can adopt different kinds of consensus and block data structure as needed, to enable a variety of applications and use cases on blockchain. Sharding is also implemented to improve performance. This double-layered structure of one main chain and multiple sub-chains can fuel various applications while ensuring the consistency of the network.

Built on VeraxChain, SimpleChain’s first sub-chain, Baoquan.com provides record keeping services which serves to keep records of online data and authenticate electronic evidence. In June 2018, Hangzhou Internet Court of China judged a case of copyright dispute based on data stored on Baoquan.com. For the first time in China, the legal effect of the electronic data stored on blockchain is recognized in the judicial system.
