Vitalik Buterin mentioned in a recent interview that the Ethereum community is more important than Ethereum codes.

This indeed is the right path for open-source projects. Despite the capabilities of Vitalik and the core team of Ethereum, there are always more capable developers in the community. Of course, all public chain projects need to think about how to attract developers.

A lot of people in the public chain space might have become interested in the first place because of token prices. However, we should realize by now that except Bitcoin that works as a safe haven asset, the value of the tokens of all other public chains lies in applications.

As a part of any public chain community, one ought to develop more developer tools for the ecosystem.

On SimpleChain, tools developed by the community have gone from mining tools/wallets to contract writing/deploying tools. As a member of the community, I’m planning to develop a developer forum based on old codes I used in university.

Hopefully the developer forum will serve as a bridge to link developers and users, as well as a place for developers to offer their advice to bring more applications onto SimpleChain.

In 2019, DataQin and Calforce Holdings, the two big contributors to the SimpleChain ecosystem have provided us with a lot to work with. 2020 is the time for SIPCFans to get more involved.

About SimpleChain

The mission of SimpleChain is to simplify the blockchain for business.

SimpleChain is a PoW main chain with flexible sub-chains. Different sub-chains can adopt different kinds of consensus and block data structure as needed, to enable a variety of applications and use cases on blockchain. Sharding is also implemented to improve performance. This double-layered structure of one main chain and multiple sub-chains can fuel various applications while ensuring the consistency of the network.

Built on VeraxChain, SimpleChain’s first sub-chain, Baoquan.com provides record keeping services which serves to keep records of online data and authenticate electronic evidence. In June 2018, Hangzhou Internet Court of China judged a case of copyright dispute based on data stored on Baoquan.com. For the first time in China, the legal effect of the electronic data stored on blockchain is recognized in the judicial system.
