SimpleChain Foundation Council Election: Candidate List and Voting Procedure
On January 4, 2019, SimpleChain mainnet was officially launched. In 2019, we witnessed the rapid expansion of the SimpleChain community, as well as the implementation of SimpleChain applications in various fields. In 2020, during the second year of the SimpleChain Foundation’s operation, through the election to add new Council members, we hope that more SimpleChain enthusiasts will join the Foundation, and use their knowledge, talents and resources to facilitate the Foundation, inspire the community, and advance SimpleChain technology promotion, application implementation, community development and ecosystem construction. Each and every member of the SimpleChain community will play an important role in this election. Your votes will determine the future of the SimpleChain community.
In 2020, together let us build a stronger community, a more autonomous community, and a more prosperous, transparent, and inclusive SimpleChain ecosystem.

How to Vote
Candidates must transfer 128 SIPC from pre-registered SimpleNode/ChainBox address to the election contract before March 20th to activate. Votes to a candidate won’t get through until after the candidate’s activation.
Voters cast votes with SimpleNode or ChainBox (latest versions), by transferring SIPC to the election contract and putting down in the transaction note the code of the candidate they are voting for. 8 SIPC constitute 1 vote. One voter address can cast no more than 128 votes (1,024 SIPC).

Steps
- Install the latest version of SimpleNode (v2.0.4, for PC) or ChainBox (v1.0.8, for mobile) (Downloads available on www.simplechain.com)
- Make sure there is sufficient balance in the account
- Enter receiver’s address (election contract address);
Enter the transfer amount (8 or multiples of 8, no more than 1024),
Enable advanced options, and enter the candidate code in the Data box (the “0” in candidate codes is the number 0, and all letters are all in lower case) - Confirm transaction
Notes
- Please check before you vote:
1) Receiver’s address: Please make sure to enter the election smart contract address.
2) Transfer amount: 8 SIPC constitute 1 vote. Transfer amount must be 8 or multiples of 8. One voter address can cast no more than 128 votes (1,024 SIPC).
3) Transaction note: Please enter the candidate code in the Data box (the “0” in candidate codes is the number 0, and all letters are all in lower case)
Incorrect transfer amount or transaction note will result in failed transactions. - Be sure to use SimpleNode or ChainBox for voting. Do not vote with exchange account or SIPC.VIP.
- After voting, 9 candidates with the most votes will become new Council members. SIPC used to vote for the successfully elected candidates will be transferred to the Foundation address through the contract as community donation; SIPC used for other votes will be returned to voters.
