How time flies! It has been over a decade since the first attempts of blockchain pioneers. Now blockchain technology has become a crucial part in development strategies of many countries. After the dark forest era witnessed the fearless exploration of the pioneers, upcoming is a brand new era of stars for us to sail in.

After several months of code optimization, testing and adjustments by the development team, all technical preparation is ready for the SimpleChain Singularity — Era of Stars mainnet upgrade. When all nodes and users complete upgrade, SimpleChain Singularity — Era of Stars will be officially launched.

Main-Chain Module:
1. Updated the addressing of the p2p network, which helps nodes discover each other faster;
2. Added block synchronization checkpoint function to prevent block synchronization errors;
3. Optimized the virtual machine, database mode, and storage tree (trie) access mode to improve the performance of block data processing;
4. Added Freezer database to achieve more efficient data transmission and storage;
5. Added independent transaction signer Clef to increase convenience;
6. Added monitoring of SimpleChain sub-system and events;
7. Introduced query interface based on GraphQL nodes, so that users can maintain calculation when querying data, and at the same time minimizing cost of data transmission.
Sub-chain module:
1. Added sub-chain module. Sipe supports launching at sub-chain mode, enabling fast deployment of sub-chains for various business scenarios;
2. Added multiple consensus algorithms to sub-chains, including DPoS, Istanbul and Raft, providing a wide range of choices for users to create sub-chains.
Cross-chain module:
1. Added chainid () and nonce () methods to virtual machine to support cross-chain transactions;
2. Updated the protocol layer of the main chain, including cross-chain contracts, cross-chain interfaces, and cross-chain testing tools.
Above is the core content of this upgrade. The launch of SimpleChain Singularity — Era of Stars marks further integration of SimpleChain main-chain and sub-chain ecosystems, and will accelerate SimpleChain’s venture into building the infrastructure for the digital economy.
