Sales Funnels Don’t Have to Be Complicated (or Slimy)

And let’s call it what it really is: your customer’s journey from awareness to being served.

When we think of sales funnels, we often think of expensive platforms, a myriad of flashy sales pages, and complicated automations. It sounds like a headache or something we’re not ready for…and the phrase itself might even make us feel a little “ick.”

But the reality is that if you’re in business, online or not, you have a sales funnel. Your customer takes a journey from awareness and attraction, through education and engagement, and is eventually persuaded to part with their money and be served by your product or service.

The variable isn’t whether or not you have a sales funnel, but rather how intentionally it’s been crafted.

The goal of a proper sales funnel is to take as many people as possible from the awareness phase, all the way through to being served. This is often called a conversion rate, and any sustainable business needs theirs to be high.

The better crafted and more intentional your sales funnel, the easier it is to consistently achieve a high conversion rate. The higher your conversion rate, the more money you make with less effort.
