Prioritizing Fun May Require a Plan

Day 6 of my 31-Day Fun Challenge
(I know, I know. I’ve missed a few days. But I’ve been busy with fun.)
Last Sunday was the final day of Shaunta Grimes’s Fresh Start Refresh live class. It was amazing and motivating. But it made me realize something. Or rather, it reminded me of something I’ve kind of forgotten.
Something you want won’t just come to you. You have to make it happen.
If you want to be an author, you have to learn how to write, write daily and publish your writing for others to read.
If you want to be an artist, you have to learn your craft, create, and make your creation available for others to enjoy, too.
If you want to have fun, make opportunities for it.
As an adult, I often have difficulty giving myself permission to have fun. Over time, I’ve forgotten how to have fun. After all, if I’m having fun, I must be shirking my responsibilities, right?
Wrong!
