We’re excited to announce the the official SimplyRETS Wordpress Client has added support for ListHub Analytics! If you have a ListHub account, you can track how your visitors interact with the MLS listings on your website.

What does that mean for me?

ListHub analytics allows you to track how your visitors are interacting with your website and include these details in ListHub MLS, broker, agent, and seller reports. From the ListHub website:

ListHub supports adding a small JavaScript code snippet to your web site to report your site’s traffic to ListHub for inclusion on MLS, broker, agent, and seller reports. By providing metrics, your site receives higher visibility on ListHub reports and marketing materials. Reporting the traffic and leads you create to listing brokers and agents will increase the value of your site/service as a marketing solution. Samples of the reports that will include your site’s metrics are available in the Broker and Agent sections at ListHub.

This information can be essential in figuring out how you can generate more leads from your website users by seeing their activity and where the flow could be improved. There are many good ways to uses analytics to improve your lead capture rate for MLS listings and make a better search experience for your visitors.

Great! So how do I set it up?

We’ve made it simple and doesn’t require any coding or developer to set it up. If you’re one of the lucky folk that is already using our Wordpress plugin, you just need to make sure you update to Version 1.3.3 or later. Once you’ve got that far, navigate to the Settings -> SimplyRETS page of your Wordpress dashboard. Here you’ll see a new option for “ListHub Analytics Settings”. Insert your ListHub Metrics ID into the available box, make sure the enabled box is checked, and click save. That’s it!

What information is tracked?

In this release we support tracking events for single listing details. This means that whenever a user on your site views details about a single listing, that information is sent to ListHub to be used in your reports.

With successful feedback for this feature, we’ll be adding support for the full API, which includes:

  • Search Display Events — This occurs when a list of properties are displayed as the result of a search.
  • Email Sent Events — Email sent events occur when an email is sent on behalf of one of your web-site users (ie, when a user requests more info on a specific listing).
  • Email Clicked Events — Email clicked events occur when a user clicks a ‘mailto:’ link on your web-site. (ie, to email the listing agent)
  • Telephone Clicked Events — Phone clicked events occur when a user clicks a button to reveal a phone number to the user on your web-site.

If you’d like to see these features added, send us an email and let us know!

Your privacy is first priority.

We take privacy of you and your visitors extremely seriously. SimplyRETS does not save any of the information and it is sent directly to ListHub where it is safely stored in your account. We’ll never ask for your Listhub account password or store your Metric ID.
