Instagram New Update- Hashtags and profile links to bio

Instagram had issued an update last week with two new features added to it-hashtags and profile links to the bio. Users can add hashtags and the links to other profiles in their bio.

To add a hashtag or a profile link, go to the bio section in Edit Profile. Just type @ or # and you can see the list of recommended profiles and tags. Choose the ones you want to link with and it will get linked to your bio.

With this update, now you can add your favorite hashtags to the bio and express your fields interests and services. It will help you get new followers with same interests or the ones who are looking for the services you provide. Using @ mention any Instagram profiles and it becomes profile links which others can click through. This could help you to promote your other accounts.

But if you want to add any real link or a URL from outside of Instagram you’ll still have to add it to the ‘website’ section in Edit Profile.
