Instagram lets you send live video to your followers directly. In the new update of Instagram, they are making it available to send live videos through their messaging feature direct. You can send your own live video or a live video that you are watching, to your friends. This feature will be available in the 26th version of Instagram for iOS and Android.

When you go live, you can see the ‘direct’ button below your screen. By clicking it you can send it to your friend or group of friends. Your friends could see the video only while it is still live. If your live video is completed then friends see the live video completion message. For private accounts, only their followers could see the video. Viewers could also comment and react to the video.

This feature makes it easier for you to invite people to watch your live video and you can also watch other live videos together with your friends and hang out with them in a virtual manner. You can disable this option in settings.

Instagram introduced its live feature last November. And a few weeks later they had enabled the feature to add friends to your live video. Update to the latest version and enjoy newest features.
