June was a busy month for SingularDTV as the decentralized entertainment ecosystem continues to expand on all fronts. Alongside the announcement of Our Music Festival, the first ever blockchain integrated music festival, and major film partnerships with industry-leading filmmakers like Steven Soderbergh and David Lynch, June saw the successful execution of the SNGX-SNGLS AirDrop and a rush of media attention in publications like Billboard, Forbes, and Hackernoon.
Under the hood, SingularDTV’s worldwide team is working hard, making significant improvements to SingularX and pushing forth on development roadmaps for Rentalist and EtherVision. Introducing OMF — the First Blockchain Powered Music Festival
As announced in publications like Billboard and Forbes this week, SingularDTV is partnering with superstar DJ 3LAU and events powerhouse Prime Social Group to create the first blockchain powered music festival network: Our Music Festival.
The inaugural OMF event will feature Grammy winning hitmaker ZEDD performing alongside a host of dance and hip-hop acts on October 20th at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza. The OMF brand will feature blockchain integration in everything from ticketing to the launch of the OMF Token, which will enable an exclusive rewards program for fans and attendees.
“It takes vision and grit to bring something as special as OMF to fruition,” says SingularDTV CEO Zach LeBeau. “With so many projects focused solely on their ICOs, being able to have a music festival this year itself is a huge step for all of us. OMF is here and now.”

SingularDTV x The International Emmys®
SingularDTV will host the semi-final round of judging in the Documentary and TV Movie/Mini-Series categories for the 2018 International Emmy® Awards organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The judging takes place in Zurich in the final week of June.
The judges’ panel will consist of award-winning broadcast and film industry professionals from across the globe. The films selected during this semi-final round will be announced on September 27 and advance to the final round of judging, which will take place online.
“Semi-final judging events are crucial to the International Emmy Awards judging process,” comments Nathaniel Brendel, the Academy’s Emmy® Judging Director. “We are thankful for SingularDTV’s first participation as a host and for bringing together global experts to judge this year in Zurich.”
SingularDTV Co-Founder and President of Entertainment Kim Jackson adds, “As a Swiss company we are committed to contributing to the country’s creative landscape. Swiss documentaries are traditionally very strong and we are delighted to be hosting the judging in this category, along with the TV Movie/Mini-Series category.”

SingularDTV is Building in Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea
With a diverse staff nearing 100 individuals in far flung locales ranging from New York to New Zealand, SingularDTV is a global endeavor. We checked in with SingularDTV team members in Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong To get a glimpse into the global undertaking of building a decentralized entertainment industry — and the worldwide community required to make it all work.
“We’re taking the grassroots approach in Korea, and we’re seeing colleagues all over the world doing the same thing,” says Brian Jeong of SingularDTV Korea. “We get this much bigger, systematic picture, where the whole company is growing concurrently and organically. It’s a really unique experience.”

Back From the Dead Red, an Animated Feature
SingularDTV is the first blockchain studio to produce a feature-length animation film! Back From the Dead Red is the story of Jacquotte, a French-Haitian pirate who becomes a pirate to avenge her father’s murder, commanding her own fleet.
The film is in pre-production with delivery scheduled for 2020. French film industry publication Le film français ran the news during the Annecy International Animation Festival in France, which is the world’s largest platform for the animation industry.
