Aigents + Reddit — The Next Step Towards “Heternet”
We already know that the Internet is hosting hyper-text Web sites as well as social networks and messengers. In the era of the Internet, people may be divided by the online environments that they use to a greater extent than they are divided by country borders and languages that they speak. To overcome this issue, we have created the Aigents — open source project to interconnect all sorts of online information flows on the Web sites, in the social networks and even messengers. This interconnection is done with the Aigents Platform which can be used to host personal assistants helping people to deal with online information and social communications by means of artificial intelligence. We call that “Heternet” — a network of networks, connecting heterogeneous online media channels serving humans with artificial intelligence in the middle. As opposed to hypernet (which is about bundling different sorts of “hardware” networks running the same protocol), the heternet interconnects heterogeneous “software” networks running different protocols.
The next step on our long path to real heternet is Aigents Core 2.1.8 release announced this week which Aigents integration with Reddit. In the first version of this integration, Reddit users can register and log to Aigents Demo Web site, get an automatic content recommendation based on profile computed from their Reddit performance, obtain social performance reports from the logs of their operations with Reddit and get the same social analytics in form of graphs. All that can be done using either Aigents Demo Web site or Aigents bots on Facebook Messenger or Telegram. The default Reddit Report menu option (for those who are logged into Aigents with Reddit) on Aigents Demo Web site makes only “default” report working with pre-defined set of analytical sections and duration of the time period for analysis. However, you can get much more right now — if you use Aigents Chat on the Aigents Demo Web site or Aigents bot on Facebook Messenger or Telegram — we will talk about this in the next section.
The advanced features of Aigents reporting are “period”, “format”, “fresh” ad list of report options such as the following: “my interests”, “interests of my friends”, “similar to me”, “best friends”, “fans”, “like and comment me”, “authorities”, “liked by me”, “my karma by periods”, “my words by periods”, “my favourite words”, “my posts liked and commented”, “my best words”, “my words liked and commented”, “words liked by me”, “my posts for the period”. See detailed description how to use these in our earlier publication, but we will give a quick recap here, assuming you can interact with Aigents in chat using either Aigents Demo Web site or Aigents bot on Facebook Messenger or Telegram, as follows.
To get default Reddit report (or any other report such as Facebook, or Ethereum, or Steemit, or Golos, or Vkontakte), you just need to say “my Reddit report” in the chat session:

To change the default period of the report measured in days, just add comma with word “period” and number of days after the command “my Reddit report”:

To get any custom combination of report options, you just need to enumerate these options after the same command, separated by commas:

To get the report in JSON format instead of default HTML representation, so you can load it in your own application, just add “format json” after the comma:

Finally, you need to know that Aigents caches report on a daily basis by default, so it does not re-generate any report for the same period and format (see above) if there is a previous report for the same day — even if you have the list of the report options changed. If you want to have the report re-created with another set of the report options, just add the “fresh” after the comma:

Note: If you are asking Aigents for reports in Chat view of the Aigents Demo Web site, due to the current limitations of the Aigents Web Chat, you may need to repeat the same command one or more time till the report will get actually delivered upon completion (but don’t repeat the word “fresh” so the report is not refreshed over ad over again repeatedly).
The future updates of the Aigents Core Platform for Reddit will include more precise monitoring content update on your favourite subreddits incorporating the news items in your conventional Aigents news feed.
