Greetings Singularitarians,

It has been a spirited week for the Deep Funding Program. We are delighted with the enthusiastic response received for Round 1, totaling over 40 proposals.

✅ Check out the full proposal details on the Proposal Portal or a summary of the proposals on the Deep Funding website.

As we enter the discussion and then voting phases, Deep Funding is depending on the community to ask critical questions and give constructive feedback to the proposers. Discussing and voting on these proposals is an essential step in progressive decentralization and community governance for SingularityNET.

The start of the voting phase

Due to the inspiring surge of last-minute proposals, the start of the voting period is delayed by one week, per the following schedule:

Voting Begins: May 16th, 00:00 UTC
Voting Ends: May 24th, 00:00 UTC

This delay gives the community more time to get acquainted with all proposals and submit feedback where applicable.

Important Note: Within the SWAE portal, the “voting” aspect is only used for proposal feedback. The final voting on proposal funding will happen through the SingularityNET Voting portal, where users connect their AGIX token holding wallet to cast their vote. Voting portal details will be covered next week.

The Importance of Voting

By participating in the Deep Funding Round 1 voting process, you will be supporting the creation of SingularityNET as a robust AI marketplace that everyone can benefit from. These Phase Two token grants give the community a voice in creating adoption and utility for the Platform by voting to fund new & exciting decentralized AI services.

Here are the things to consider when voting for proposals:

  • Will the project bring value to the Platform?
  • Will the service have real-world utility and generate API calls?
  • Is the project technically feasible & well thought out?
  • Do you believe that the team can deliver?
  • Are the budgets realistic?
  • Will the service augment the path to beneficial AGI?

The SingularityNET community is the heart of our ecosystem and are the best judges of what will grow the Platform. The collective creativity and collaboration of the community will lead to the best possible outcomes.

Proposal Voting Overview

AGIX token holders will submit their vote via the SingularityNET voting portal (details soon), including the complete details of each submitted proposal. To vote, you will connect your wallet within the portal to verify AGIX voting power; there are no gas costs or fees involved in voting.

→ You can vote if you have a connected wallet containing at least 1 AGIX.

Each proposal will be voted separately and graded from 1 to 10, where 1 is the lowest score and ten is the highest. Note that each proposal needs at least an average score of 6,5 to be eligible for funding.

You cannot change your vote after you have submitted it, so vote carefully and deliberately with respect for the work that the proposers put into it.

Instructions for voting:
✔ Connect your wallet containing AGIX tokens
✔ Select a proposal
✔ Select your vote for the proposal
✔ Click “Sign and Confirm”
✔ Confirm the “Sign” transaction on your wallet (no gas fee)
✔ Repeat for all proposals you want to vote on

That’s it, you’re done!

Proposal Eligibility Criteria

Proposals must meet minimum criteria to be eligible for the voting phase:

1. The proposal must help grow the platform in at least one of these ways:

  • Build an AI service and register it to the AI platform.
  • Build a solution that utilizes services already hosted on the platform.
  • Organize promotional activity with clear success metrics that make AI developers aware of the benefits of the SingularityNET platform and motivate them to publish or utilize AI services on it (e.g., Hackathon, student outreach, etc.).
  • Create tooling or code that will help the platform become better or enhance the Deep Funding process.

2. Proposals must contain a milestone plan, including clear, demonstrable deliverables and related budgets.

3. Proposal must reserve 25% of the budget for API calls or hosting.

The Deep Funding Team is ongoingly evaluating the proposals for eligibility, and proposers have an opportunity to address any missed requirements before the voting phase.

Check out the qualification status of the current proposals.

Funding Eligibility Minimum Requirements

To ensure that only high quality and community-supported proposals receive funding, there are two necessary voting thresholds to be qualified for funding:

  1. A project must receive votes from at least 1% of the total voting tokens (1 AGIX = 1 Vote)
  2. A project must receive a minimum score of 6,5 (out of 10)

Next Step — Join the Discussion

Ready to jump in? First, check out the proposal summaries for projects currently eligible for voting, and then take a more thorough look into the proposals that catch your attention. It’s not expected that every voter will have read the whole of every proposal — but read a range so that you can get a feel for quality proposals.

Next, leave your comments, feedback, or suggestions on the Proposal Portal for the proposers. To discuss proposals in more detail, join the Deep Funding Discord or Telegram channels for discussion with the community. Many proposers are in these channels and can answer your questions directly.

We are looking forward to receiving your votes starting May 16th!
