SingularityNET’s Knowledge Layer Integrated with BIM Information Aiming to Become a Standard for Smart Building

Wednesday, July 24, 2024 — In a milestone agreement, SingularityNET, a leading AI platform developer and a founding member of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, and AL’MA Action Logement are collaborating on the “Better Homes 4 All’’ digital twin ecosystem project for AL’MA Home Flower Village. The ecosystem of partners and solutions includes I AM HOME 1.618 for its smart green home concepts, Saint Gobain’s low-carbon BIM objects library and its Ecumetre multiconfort solutions, and Leonard (the innovation platform of Vinci Group) through its RenovAIte MVP program in Mayotte.

AL’MA Action Logement is committed to large-scale construction of sustainable homes in high-quality environments, with a particular focus on Mayotte. The first eco-district, AL’MA Home Flower Village, comprising 240 homes, serves as a pilot project utilizing AI and digital tools. It aims to innovate and experiment to scale up sustainable urban development projects.

The Better Homes 4 All digital twins project aims to innovate on the affordable and sustainable housing value chain for healthy smart homes, as part of a «productization» approach through AL’MA HOME. Several low-carbon building systems are being built by world-class construction and modular building companies, among which prefabricated wood, earth compressed bricks, low carbon steel and fiberglass, low carbon concrete precast and brick.

SingularityNET, dedicated to creating decentralized and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence, emphasizes sustainability in its mission. Climate change is a critical challenge, and addressing it requires a multifaceted approach, including the adoption of green building materials to enhance building sustainability.

This collaboration aims to tackle the sustainable affordable housing challenge by integrating artificial intelligence, blockchain, and tokenization within the construction and real estate industry. By addressing significant issues such as the high contribution of the construction sector to European greenhouse gas emissions, this partnership is set to transform the industry’s landscape. SingularityNET proudly supports the European Union’s goal of achieving zero-emission new buildings by 2030.

Data interoperability remains a challenge in the construction industry due to proprietary data schemas and heterogeneous data sources. BIM data audits require significant human effort, and the object-oriented and parametric nature of BIM information complicates understanding the relationships between materials and objects. These limitations also apply to CIM (City Information Modeling) and TIM (Territory Information Modeling) models.

SingularityNET proposes creating a Knowledge Layer for Smart Buildings, where a Metagraph (graph of graphs) will enable more intelligent querying and analysis of building information. The goal is to establish a consistent Knowledge Graph of materials across the construction industry, providing transparent and trustworthy data provenance and potentially enabling generative building design.

This collaboration will use artificial intelligence to reconfigure and strengthen the entire value chain, bringing new innovations to affordable and sustainable housing. In response to the climate and social emergency, and as part of Action Logement’s decarbonization strategy, new technologies are enhancing collective efficiency and project impact. Integrating green materials into construction practices supports healthier living environments by emitting fewer pollutants and improving indoor air quality, contributing to the well-being of occupants.

SingularityNET is committed to a positive impact as it aims to foster intelligent systems in various industries such as the construction sector. With Better Homes 4 All and AL’MA HOME, we tackle the challenges of affordable smart homes delivery.”

Dr. Delphine Sangodeyi, CEO, AL’MA

The partnership with SingularityNET is an important milestone, reinforcing our ecosystem of partners, working together on innovative solutions as AL’MA HOME, using AI and metaverse for large scale production of affordable sustainable homes and better cities.”

About SingularityNET

SingularityNET was founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel with the mission of creating a decentralized, democratic, inclusive and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). An AGI is not dependent on any central entity, is open to anyone and is not restricted to the narrow goals of a single corporation or even a single country. The SingularityNET team includes seasoned engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. Our core platform and AI teams are further complemented by specialized teams devoted to application areas such as finance, robotics, biomedical AI, media, arts and entertainment.
