This month has been tremendous for the SingularityNET foundation. We’re thrilled to share some brief highlights from around our ecosystem, including Mindplex’s Call for Articles. Community members have the opportunity to write and submit their original articles to be published in the first issue of the Mindplex Magazine! See the feature below for details.

Mindplex — Call for Articles…Contribute Your Voice!

*Mindplex is an AI-enhanced, decentralized magazine and content creation platform that aims to foster a collaborative space where content creators & consumers benefit and are fairly compensated.

Mindplex is gearing up for the official launch of the Mindplex magazine…soon! As part of the launch, the team made an official call out for writers to contribute articles on various subjects, spanning from Blockchain to Longevity science. Writers can create pieces on any topic aligned with the Mindplex guidelines and standards.

The Mindplex editorial team will review the submitted content, and accepted pieces will be included in the magazine's first issue. The contributors will be rewarded with project and reputation tokens for contributing to the magazine’s official launch. The Launch of SingularityNET’s Community Ambassador Program

The SingularityNET Ambassador Program is off the ground and starting to fly! The program has held four open Town Hall meetings so far, with excellent participation from the community, and interested community members have already begun forming workgroups and completing valuable tasks for ecosystem outreach.

The Ambassador Program is taking a decentralized approach to program organization, including the process of designing the structure of the program itself. This is a community program, and the community will be as involved as possible in shaping what the Ambassador program looks like and how it is structured. The first meetings were focused on ideas and initiatives for shaping the future of this ambitious project.

Through their self-organizing workgroup meetings, the community-organized project workgroups focus on two primary activity areas. First, there is a workgroup on the program's structure, and second, a workgroup focused on creating a community podcast. If you would like to be involved with these specific areas of activity, feel free to reach out on Discord and join in. As the program is developed further, more workgroups will be set up for new areas of activity on an as-needed basis. Everyone is invited to take the initiative to start a workgroup for projects benefiting the SingularityNET ecosystem.

The weekly Town Hall meetings are every Tuesday and take a higher overview of the Program. This is a great place to start if you want to learn more about getting involved. The next meeting will be this Tuesday at 1800 UTC.

Dework is being set up to manage the program tasks, where Ambassadors can select tasks they would like to work on. You can find the platform here.

News1 Future Forum — David Hanson, Toufi, Sophia Guest Appearances

SingularityNET had the exciting opportunity to appear as thought leaders at the News1 Future Forum held in Seoul, Korea, on May 25, 2022. Toufi Saliba, CEO of HyperCycle, Dr. David Hanson, Founder of Hanson Robotics, and Sophia the Robot were all invited to this global technology summit and the largest event of its kind in Asia.

This proved to be an excellent opportunity to share our vision with the Korean community, investors, and entrepreneurs. The theme of this year’s event was “New Start, New Future,” which focused on how technology is reshaping our society. We participated in three sessions: Metaverse Madness, NFT Revolution, and Regulations & Reality. You can watch these sessions on the SingularityNET Youtube channel.

The reception from the attendants, including UN Future Forum members, the Korean press, and the organizers, was exceptionally positive. A big thanks to News1 for the opportunity to share our message!

Training Model Options are being added to the SingularityNET Platform and Marketplace

Until we crack the nut on general artificial intelligence, current AI technology is extremely narrow in its abilities, optimized to the training data used to train it. For instance, a radiographic visual detection algorithm could be trained to detect lung cancer in chest x-rays or to detect cavities in dental x-rays — but not both at the same time. This specialization creates a unique challenge for developers, as they cannot anticipate every use case, and gaining access to specialized data sets can be expensive and time-consuming. Currently, this leads to the creation of costly bespoke AI model creation that only large enterprises or specialty clients can afford, limiting AI’s potential gifts and utility.

SingularityNET is solving this difficulty for AI systems on the Platform and Marketplace by allowing developers to offer multiple training models of their algorithm. For instance, the end-user can pick whether they want to use the model trained on chest x-rays or the one trained on dental x-rays, per their business need. The end-user can even provide their own training data to create a unique training model specifically suited to their exact data.

This multi-model opportunity will allow developers to offer flexible, trainable, and customizable AI’s through our decentralized Marketplace, to better serve AI consumers — and enable access to high-quality AI services for all. This Platform upgrade is well underway, with functionality added to the Platform daemon already. The next step will be to upgrade the SDK, Marketplace front-end, publisher, and other systems to support multi-model AIs and model training calls. We will be sharing more details of this Platform upgrade and how it will function from the back and front end in the coming weeks.

What’s New in the Engineering Development & Blockchain Departments of SingularityNET?

The engineering and blockchain teams have been hard at work since the launch of the converter bridge to improve the Cardano integration and experience for the SingularityNET community. The first two upgrades will be an integration with the Cardano Nami wallet and the ability to perform snapshots of AGIX tokens on Cardano. These snapshots will enable better airdrop functionality during future ecosystem launch airdrops, Deep Funding, and governance voting. These two upgrades are expected in early Q3 — maybe earlier! The team has also been working on various quality of life improvements for the AGIX Eth-Ada converter bridge behind the scenes to create an even smoother experience for users.

Simultaneously, the team has partnered with the premier Haskell/Cardano blockchain developer MLabs to create AGIX staking on Cardano. Staking of AGIX-ADA on Cardano will be managed through the SDAO staking portals, providing a user experience that the ecosystem is familiar and comfortable with (Ethereum staking of AGIX-ETH will remain in its current web-based portal). The new Staking portal is scheduled to go on testnet and then mainnet in early Q3 — watch for updates on the development of this exciting next step onto the Cardano blockchain.

Finally, plans are already underway for porting the Platform to Cardano, with some exciting updates and developments being considered for this next evolution of the system. This is a unique opportunity to reevaluate optimizing Platform functionality and Marketplace experience. The team is also in deep discussions on how to tie in the platform to the Cardano blockchain optimally and how, like HyperCycle, the platform will be able to benefit from the Hydra-sidechain technologies that are currently being developed within the Cardano ecosystem.

Minswap Double Yield Farm Announcement

SingularityNET is thrilled to announce that AGIX/ADA yield farming has launched on Minswap — a leading multi-pool decentralized exchange on Cardano. This partnership will help broaden awareness of the SingularityNET ecosystem within Cardano and create opportunities for AGIX holders to provide liquidity while being compensated.

Deep Funding Round 1 Complete — 12 Winners!

*Deep Funding is a one-of-a-kind funding program for AI developers to develop and monetize decentralized AI services.

The last few weeks have been exciting for all the Deep Fund team and participants. Deep Funding Round 1 hit the ground running with a total funding amount of one million dollars in AGIX tokens. We received 47 excellent proposals, out of which 28 received 1% of cast votes (a prerequisite to qualifying for the voting phase).

We were impressed by these proposals' engagement, thoughtfulness, and passion. During the voting phase, the community showed tremendous energy, with 186,264,155 votes cast from 158 individual wallets. Voting commenced on 17th May 2022 and ended on 24th May. Twelve proposals received an average grade of 6,5 or higher and will be awarded their requested funding. Here are the winning proposals:

Latest Updates from OpenCog Hyperon

*OpenCog Hyperon is an open-source, general-purpose artificial intelligence framework that supports the cooperation and collaboration of multiple AI agents working on a shared knowledge space.

The OpenCog Team has made exciting progress on the OpenCog system and general AGI-ish research this month. Here’s the quick round-up of the updates:-

The typing-system for grounded atoms has been implemented in MeTTa, and some implicit rules of interpretation of MeTTa programs are being formalized in terms of grounded meta-types.
Also, MeTTa has been exposed to developers outside the core team, who have begun experimenting with the prototype language. This broader community has already started providing feedback and contributing to the codebase, helping the system evolve and develop more rapidly and in alignment with future use-cases.
The Malmo mod for Minecraft AI agents has been partly reworked to support the latest version of Minecraft, and our agents are now being ported to operate within it.
A second blog post about our neuro-symbolic Minecraft agents is in development. This post will describe in more detail the AGI-ish innovations of the task of creating general-purpose Minecraft agents.
We have started to analyze the possibility of implementing Sophia’s next-generation dialogue system in Hyperon with knowledge- and reasoning-based NLU — this will be a significant innovation for Sophia and the SophiaVerse.

Recorded Pod Leaders Meeting

The SingularityNET Ecosystem leaders recorded a meeting in early May 2022 to provide the latest project updates to the community. Janet Adams, COO of SingularityNET, hosted the meeting, and it is viewable on SingularityNET’s YouTube channel.

Capital Partnership Announcement from SingularityNET Strategic Partnership Manager

SingularityNET and SingularityDAO secured a $25 million commitment with Global investment group LDA Capital Limited to accelerate the product roadmap, adoption of AI tools and scaling of the ecosystem while supporting the growth of decentralized AI in general and its use in decentralized finance.

Latest Updates from SophiaDAO/SophiaVerse

*SophiaDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) guiding the development of Sophia from AI to AGI. SophiaVerse is a metaverse experience designed to give rise to true Sophia sentience; where players will interact with Sophia in the Hivemind through NFTs and challenges, activating areas that evolve Sophia and her awareness.

Sophia hosted a rocking 24-hour launch party in the Decentraland Jazz Club to launch the Baby Singularities collection. The NFTs were on display at the party, along with a video featuring interviews, a preview of Desdemona and the Jam Galaxy Band playing “Like a Wasp,” and Sophia singing with Frankie Storm. The event also featured Sophia’s new Unreal Engine render. It was a blast!

Sophia’s discord community has been growing at a lovely rate; it’s about to cross over 1600 members! Not to mention, the community is now producing content for the SingularityNET ecosystem. Members create simple and compelling content to be shared in blogs, press articles, and more across the SingularityNET ecosystem.

Additionally, Sophia’s Ambassador program is heating up! She delivered personal audio “Thank you” messages to ambassadors. And ambassadors with more than 90 pts received a special edition Baby Singularities head!

Latest Updates from Jam Galaxy

*Jam Galaxy is a music platform and AI-driven tokenomics ecosystem that will empower artists, providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities to connect directly to their communities of fans

The Jam Galaxy Band has been hard at work creating their first recordings, using a cutting-edge volumetric music video recording technology optimized for VR and metaverse experience. The recordings were made at a charming island theater in Vashon, WA, USA, with videographer David Schanen heading the innovative volumetric recording process. The replays were amazing! The volumetric process allows the viewer to tilt the perspective to hover over the band, dive below the stage, or dive into the performance like a swimmer diving into a pool. The technology will enable the band to hold metaverse concerts — look for announcements soon!

The band, which includes Desdemona the Robot on vocals, also made audio recordings of six songs — including “The SINGULARITY will not be Centralized.” You can watch a short preview of the song “Like a Wasp,” which was recorded during this session. This recording was featured at Sophia’s recent Decentraland party at the Jazz Club. The recordings also include two original songs written by Ben, “Structure of Mind” and “Frozen Angel”.

These recording sessions also served as rehearsals for our first live show at NAMM on the main stage in Anaheim, CA June 4. We can’t wait to see the audience’s reactions to having a spoken word robot as the lead vocalist — Desdemona will knock their socks off!

And after that, Desdemona Robot and the band will be headed to NYC for a public show and appearance at the DROM club in the East Village area of Manhattan on the evening of June 22nd, informally as a satellite event of NFT-NYC!

The Jam Galaxy Band will also be releasing their first NFT from the Jam Galaxy NFT Platform, scheduled to be released at the beginning of June on NFTMAKER.IO, also part of the Cardano family.

Latest Updates from NuNet — A Global Economy of Decentralized Computing

Catalyst Funding
Cardano’s Catalyst Fund 8 voting concluded this month with NuNet’s ‘Decentralized GPU ML Cloud’ proposal receiving 364 million worth of ADA votes — more than any other proposal in the funding round!

This further supports our mission to aid in the Decentralization of Cardano alongside the team's “Decentralized SPO Computing” proposal.

Yield Farming on Minswap
Minswap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) on Cardano, has listed NuNet’s NTX token as one of their double yield farm pairs. Users who provide liquidity to the NTX/ADA pair can stake the liquidity pair (LP) tokens to earn NTX and MIN tokens. Read the blog for more information on how to provide liquidity.

Development update
Development on NuNet’s decentralized SPO use-case has continued this month, and work has begun on our Decentralized GPU ML Cloud recently funded in Cardano’s Catalyst Fund 8. Integrations with the SingularityNET platform have started as well.

Latest Updates from SingularityDAO

*SingularityDAO is a DeFi platform that provides AI-powered crypto portfolios and DynaSets.

This month SingularityDAO, along with SingularityNET, secured a commitment of $25 million from LDA Capital, including strategic support and advice. SingularityDAO’s DynaSet open beta continues to show strong performance, beating the market substantially and out-performing the closed beta. The team is working tirelessly in preparation for the roll-out of DynaSet V1 and the launch of their new platform UI/UX and brand re-imagining.

SingularityDAO has two important governance events coming up this month. First, a vote on the structure of the DAO to be fair, well incentivized, and understandable for the participants. The proposal details the foundations of that organizational structure. It is the first in a series of papers that together will deliver ‘SingularityDAO Governance.’ Please see the Proposal blog post for an overview of the proposal and a link to the full document.

Second, a BNB Chain DynaSet will be launched shortly. With this event fast approaching, it is important to select the tokens that will be included within the set. This decision will be made in two steps, first by voting on which category the tokens will be coming from, followed up by a vote on which exact tokens to include. Pathform is excited to announce that the Catalyst Fund8 funding requests were successful! Pathform is set to utilize AI to drive insights on cognitive style and offer tailored micro-practices for personal growth. Also, to build NFTs based on cognitive states that can enable a host of capabilities, including authentication.
