SingularityNET announces a partnership with Nature 2.0 (Press release)

Leading AI company SingularityNET, whose decentralized platform lets anyone create, share, and deploy AI services at scale, has announced a strategic partnership with Nature 2.0, a community-initiative of which Enexis Netbeheer is a key enabler.

The partnership announced at Token 2049 will enable SingularityNET’s leadership and decentralized community to co-create innovative algorithms and solutions on the recently launched SingularityNET Beta platform with Nature 2.0’s input.

Jan-Peter Doomernik, Nature 2.0 Lead Architect and Sr Business Developer at Enexis Netbeheer

“In the Nature2.0 community, we explore the design and building of new types of critical infrastructure solutions that are beneficial for all. We are excited to partner with the SingularityNet team and their decentralized community of Ai researchers and developers to explore alternatives beyond the paradigms of scarcity and profit-formulas. Within nature2.0 and their launching platforms of hackathons and innovation contests we focus on building commons and ecosystems towards abundance.

As a representative of the innovation department of Enexis Netbeheer, Nature 2.0 helps us to identify new narratives beyond the paradigms of today and possible disruptive usage of new technologies like AI and blockchain.

Enexis Netbeheer is part of and investors in the critical energy infrastructure of the Netherlands. We are determined to translate and use these insights to ensure the right to access affordable and sustainable energy. Partnering with industry leaders like SingularityNet and sharing the results in an open-source manner helps us to start and develop communities that are all about co-creation. To unite people who want to learn from and build on each other and are intrinsically motivated to make the world a better place”

CEO Ben Goertzel, shared:

“Modern AI systems are increasingly large consumers of energy, therefore it’s extremely interesting to use advanced AI technology to optimize energy production, consumption and distribution pattern”, Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO and Chief Scientist of SingularityNET added.

“Google Deep Mind has famously used their AI to optimize Google’s own power usage for their computational processing, but their talks with the UK power grid have broken down. Unlike the corporate tech giants, however, SingularityNET has an explicit goal of applying and advancing AI for the good of all humanity, and this includes leveraging its decentralized AI network to optimize the world’s AI infrastructure, not just in the server farms of large corporations but for everyone. This is the spirit in which we are now embarking on a new collaboration with Enexis Netbeheer’s Nature 2.0 initiative to apply our unique decentralized AI framework and tools together with their capabilities to work toward affordable and sustainable energy for all. Application of AI to energy infrastructure will lead to an AI-driven economy that is both more intelligent and more friendly to humans and the environment.”

SingularityNET is a full-stack AI solution powered by a decentralized protocol. SingularityNET’s core goal is to provide an intelligent fabric for AI algorithms to talk to each other — and in doing so, to provide both a teeming commercial marketplace for advanced AI solutions across vertical markets and the basis for the emergence of the world’s first true Artificial General Intelligence. The SingularityNET founders believe in open source and decentralized control, so that no single individual, corporation, or government will be able to dominate AI as it becomes increasingly more generally intelligent and capable. The project gathered the leading minds in machine learning and blockchain to democratize access to AI technology.

Enexis Netbeheer

Nature 2.0, a community-initiative of which Enexis Netbeheer is a key enabler. Enexis Netbeheer is one of the 3 big DSO’s of the Netherlands. Our energy grids provide electricity to 2.8 million customers and gas to 2.3 million customers in the Dutch provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Noord-Brabant and Limburg in an affordable and sustainable way.

As DSO we are responsible for the construction, maintenance, development and management of the electricity and gas network. Enexis Groep brings partners, governments and its knowledge together to contribute to the realization of the (Dutch) Energy Agreement. In addition, Enexis Groep actively encourages customers to save more energy, among other things with Neighborhood Power. Enexis Groep has approximately 4,300 employees.
