We give you great recos and you take our survey.

We love to make recommendations, mostly because we’re kinda self-absorbed and feel like mini tastemakers (see Verity making tastes of apple juice and tequila). Sometimes we need to ask for your thoughts though, and unlike your ex, we are here to actually listen to the answers! This should take you less than 3 minutes and will be hugely helpful to us, so give it a spin and then go order one of the delicious drinks below. Thank you in advance (mwah).

In Celebration of AAPI Heritage Month

You know we love a theme, and none more than AAPI Heritage Month. As varied as Asian American and Pacific Islander experiences are, so are the scrumptious drinks people of AAPI heritage create! Native Hawaiians have some dope principles of land stewardship; what could translate better from a tradition of land stewardship than cultivating the land… to make booze. Here are some of our favorite labels from people of AAPI descent.

He aliʻi ka ʻāina; he kauwa ke kanaka.

We’re obsessed with Willamette Valley Pinot Noir here at Sipply. Cho Wines produces a dreamy 95-point case for why with their Dreamer’s Reserve Pinot Noir. Dark red berries, spice, and pulsing acidity, this bottle reinforces the incredible purity of our favorite varietal. According to the folks at Cho Wines, it pairs well with jjajang black bean noodles, but as far as we’re concerned this pairs with just about anything.

To keep things exciting, how about a Nectar Hard Seltzer? These are not to be grouped in with drinks that rhyme with ShiteBlaw, they are legit tasty canned cocktails with flavors including lychee, yuzu, asian pear and mandarin. Ranging in flavor from dry to sweet, there’s a little something for everyone!

Now back to Pinot. We couldn’t help ourselves! Legit dream bottle alert here: Domaine de la Cote’s Bloom’s Field. World renowned sommelier Rajat Parr’s wine from Sta. Rita Hills won against Burgundy in a blind tasting of Pinot Noirs which was filmed for the movie Somm 3. I’m sure this spoiler alert will upset exactly nobody. Anyhow, it’s hard to get your hands on this bottle because of the winery’s small production, but we recommend putting it on your Bottle List (™) aka wine bucket list.

What’s Up with Sipply

Verity, the brains behind our booze (or is it the booze behind the brains?), has been soaking up new knowledge at Top Drop, a wine event that brings together top global producers for industry seminars and tastings. What a job, what a life. While Caty is smashing away on her keyboard, Verity is having an extremely civilized week of wine and inspiration. No saltiness here whatsoever.

(Verity: You can tell Caty wrote the above, she pairs well with lime and tequila right now lol).

We know that you’re dying to have more of us in your lives, so we’re giving the people what they want by ramping up our social media! That’s not true but we’re doing it anyway. Follow us on the Gram!

Cheers!
