Hey wine and dine aficionados (and not-so-aficionados).

Starting this week, some LA-area residents can find a tasty treat to improve their meals, delivered just in time. From Thursday, November 2 to Sunday, November 5, we’re releasing our first beta version of sipply, to pair wine with your take-out dinner, in the LA area.

Don’t live in LA? You can still use sipply! The recommendations we provide may not all be available in your zip code though, so think of it more as inspo. Want a bottle from your zip code now? DM us on Instagram. Our resident sommelier will be on hand for custom recommendations.

Sometimes at the end of a long day you just want a nice glass of wine to unwind. Our team, a bunch of tech and wine enthusiasts, does all the work for you, so you can treat yourself to just that.

How does it work?

It’s literally as easy as 1–2–3. No, really.

• Step 1: Visit beta.sipp.ly and let us know what’s cookin’, or what takeout is on its way.
• Step 2: Get three expert picks, guaranteed to delight. Choose whatever feels right.
• Step 3: The wine shows up at your door in ~30 minutes from a local delivery service.

Why LA?

We want to make sure the inventory we recommend is stable so we don’t recommend things that aren’t available. Also, we want to make sure the delivery can happen fast! Why should you trust us?

There’s a summary here, but TLDR: Our approach is all about the love of great wine and food, minus the snobbery. We don’t care about what’s “right,” we care about what tastes great and makes your day better. This product was created to solve a problem for our co-founders who are tired of getting recommendations for Smirnoff Ice with their take-out. If you wanna Ice yourself, this product probably isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a bottle of reasonably priced Pinot, however, you’ve come to the right place!
