When people feel incredibly passionate about a piece of television, it can often move them to create something brand new that pays homage to the original idea. This may take the form of fan-fiction, speculative screenwriting or perhaps— if the enthusiast in question has a talent for design, sculpture or illustration — fan-art.

Sitcom fan-art lies at an explosive intersection between comedy, humor, talent and creativity. What’s fascinating to me is the wide spectrum of vastly different interpretations a given show can inspire. Not only does the choice of style or medium affect the outcome, the sheer range of random aspects that attracts people to a sitcom in the first place — be it a lead character, an ensemble cast or even one of the sets — varies wildly from artist to artist.

And yet, despite these differences, they all have at least one guaranteed commonality — a deep and sincere love of the show. Listed below (in alphabetical order) are some of the finest examples I could find of these adoring tributes.

Every image is linked to the original source over on the weird and wonderful DeviantArt — if you like a piece, I encourage you to let the creator know.
