Jack Black is a genius, and it’s amazing how musically competent the guy is given how hilarious he is in the movies. People shouldn’t be allowed to be that talented at more than one thing

What’s great about this cover tune is that it’s on an entire tribute album of cover tunes, and while they are trying to be an over-the-top parody of the genre, they actually turn in one of the heavier and more outstanding performances of the entire album. There’s not a lot of flute in here, but just enough to make it worth including this one.

So yeah, it’s not “Fleet Week” but rather “flute week” — rock music with a flute in the song. And yes, we’re going to do it all without Jethro Tull! Oh, and we’re skipping “Sure Shot” by the Beastie Boys because, well, we already covered it.

Thanks for checking out Six Degrees of Radio, and grooving along. If you don’t give this article the finger, or, y’know… a thumb, then I don’t know if you’re digging it or not.
