iTunes used to do these weekly giveaways with these free download codes you can pick up at Starbucks. You would get a different song each week that you can download for free and they were trying to draw some attention to some unknown artists. There was some requisite teeny bopper crap out there, but there was also some legitimately good songwriters trying to show off for whatever little bit of attention they can get by any means necessary.

This was one of those Starbucks freebies and it turned out to be a really good tune with a solid piano-&-bass performance underneath it. It’s almost like some jazz trio and a dimly lit club was told to play something more like a rock tube and this is what they came up with.
