~ #2 is the groove ~

My old ’06 Subaru had a 6-disc CD changer, and one of them — #2 — was the “groove” CD. I keep track of my discs by the number that’s loaded:
#5 is the metal CD
#6 is the jazz CD
#1 is guilty pleasures
#3 is the Spectrum or at least how I would program that station.

#2 is groove: Aretha Franklin, De-Phazz, Stelar Parov, Joss Stone, Marvin Gaye, Leon Bridges. And this tune from The Revivalists, which honestly fits right in the midst of all those other tracks. It’s a dance-in-your-seat-at-the-stoplight beat with a singable chorus and a nice palm-muted guitar riff to carry the verses along while the rest of the band lays back.

Thanks for checking out Six Degrees of Radio, and grooving along. If you don’t give this article the finger, or, y’know… a thumb, then I don’t know if you’re digging it or not.
