Your help needed

Can I build Upala myself? Yes, but that would take a while…

Upala is simple. The protocol itself is super-straightforward. The infrastructure is a bit more complex, but still doable by a single person.

My plan was to build a working prototype for the whole system (protocol + infra), then invite community to collaborate and polish it into a production-ready state. I love coding and I’m introvert. I though that it would be much simpler to explain in code, than in person.

Now I realized, that building everything by myself is certainly doable, BUT I need a long uninterrupted stretch of time for that. Which is impossible to get with all that presentations, documentation, talking, writing articles, and million of other things. Not to mention the necessity to make money for a living (I’m a human too, you know). I could shut it all down and go for a coding retreat for a couple of months, but there is a danger of falling into perfection death spiral for a project. Not an option.

Another important thing, is that by making all by myself I centralize it. Which is not the way to do projects nowadays.

Meaning — enough of single-piloting it!

I need your help, humans!

There are a lot of things you call help Upala with. It is already easy to collaborate (as it seems to me) — check out discord, github, dashboard. But I’ll focus on making contributions even more accessible… And make myself more accessible too, which is a tougher one. Did I mention that I’m an introvert?
