Adding Life to Art

May Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Sculptures”

Signs of thoughtfulness give stone breath.

I spent three weeks in Leon, Mexico recently for dental work.

I travel a lot these days. My travel style has changed since my younger days. These days I most often live my life in different places. I am not the tourist of my youth, where I tried to cram as much into a day as possible.

I was posting on Facebook when I was gone and my friends and family were following along. One friend suggested I take pictures of sunrises and sunsets. I told her I didn’t intend to be out in time to take sunrise pictures any day. I did take one, however — out the window of the car on my way to the airport. Most mornings I dwaddled.

I took a lot of projects with me on my trip. I had an article due when I returned, so took my laptop to write that article. I finished it and sent it to my editor. I had films to judge for our local film festival. I watched several. I’m obsessed by the Karen Read trial in Massachusetts and spent lots of time on YouTube keeping up with the case. (The hotel I stayed in now subscribes to my favorite YouTube creators.) I had books I wanted to read and took them.

A non-niche writer who loves a good story. My ADHD mind thinks way too much for its own good, but I have grown to love it. An idea person.
