A tiny sprout, growing all alone.

This photo was taken using a macro view during my visit to the Pinnacles. Every so often, I’d spy a little plant thriving despite the many feet traipsing over the paths and the harsh desert environment.

I can’t help but wonder how ANYTHING survives out there at all!

January “Bloom” Challenge Conclusion

I am grateful to my co-editors, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and Mary Chang Story Writer. Our friendship and behind the scenes banter makes editing Six fun. (Note from Mary: Yes, it does!)

It was no surprise to me that the ocean makes Mary bloom. One day, if we meet in person, I’m sure it will involve the beach somehow. It might be Mary showing off her favourite places in Canada. Or perhaps she’ll pop in to visit me. Or maybe, one day, all three of us Six editors might meet in the middle and we can explore a new beach together. (Note from Mary: Oh, I would love that, and yes it will definitely involve a beach and a swim!)

After our visit to the beach, we’ll have to sit and enjoy our favourite brew. There’s nothing like savoring every sip of your drink of choice, is there? (Given I’m no good at math, it doesn’t matter at all if the mls don’t add up correctly.) If you haven’t already read Vidya’s story, grab your favourite drink and savour it alongside her. (Note from Mary: Oh yes, the beach and a brew — perfect combo!)
