Forever together with love and devotion.

I had gone to Amritsar with my friend Sandy. Someone told us there was a beautiful Punjabi culture living village museum spread across 12 acres of land called Sadda Pind.

Sandy’s son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters had come from the USA and had especially wanted to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and so they were traveling with us.

We were living in a hotel near the Golden Temple. At the hotel’s reception, we asked if there were some places the girls would be happy to visit. They were very helpful. They guided us to Sadda Pind.

It was just 8 kilometers away from Golden Temple. The girls were excited.

We decided to take the plunge and went to Sadda Pind.

It turned out to be a great experience. It was very artistic, and you can call it a replica of a bustling village in Punjab. There were authentic mud houses. Women were churning buttermilk. The men were busy in animated discussions on their sprawling beds called Charpoys.

Many children were climbing trees. We then saw artisans dressed in village clothes creating the art and craft of Punjab.
