Frost glitters like diamonds reflecting light.

Another from my 17-year old Senior year high school exam in English class.

Frost

Frost glittering, as if diamonds on the trees,
Making its little world so fine.
sometimes falling to the ground in the breeze,
As the sun hits the frost, boy does it shine.

Prettily hanging on telephone lines,
It can be as clear as a piece of glass.
And it can weigh down the branches of pine,
Shining almost like newly polished brass.

Frost gives anyone’s yard a touch of class,
As it attaches itself to fences,
And hangs on for life to the blades of grass,
A pleasant feeling is brought to your senses.

As the day goes on, the frost melts away,
It’s too bad that the frost can’t stay.
