Horses eat it, why don’t we?

Welcome, to Viking Village.

Metal clanks on metal as the blacksmith fashions useful implements with heat and iron.

Artisans lean over tables, focused on their crafts. Turning bone to brooch or leather to boot, they impress upon visitors the age-old adage of quality over quantity.

Year after year, from around the world, people come to live in the Viking Village of Njardarheimr.

Life is simple; you simply live as the Vikings did a thousand years ago.

Smoke from fires wafts between the huts. Poke your head in and lose yourself for a bit.

The fjord walls rise up behind the walls that protect the village. The scene will do wonders for your mind, lulling you into thinking you could stay.

Throw an axe. Shoot a bow. Pet a goat. All good things can come from a day in Viking Village.

Though you may eventually leave the village, just know the village will never truly leave you.

A huge thank you to Mary Chang Story Writer for March’s prompt.
