Rocks, shipwreck, crocodile, dragon, or home?

When I read Penny Grubb’s response to this challenge, “Will We Stop Talking About The Weather”, I immediately saw a smiley face in the clouds of her photo.

Those of you who’ve read my drabbles will know that it doesn’t take much for my imagination to wander down some pretty wild paths. In no time at all, this morphed into a very enjoyable procrastination game.

What previously hidden shapes would I reveal if I converted some of my photos to black and white?

I took this photo at Dicky Beach in Queensland, Australia, earlier this year. It is definitely a shipwreck (the SS Dicky was a coastal trader wrecked on February 4th, 1893), and a home to many barnacles.

But my favorite flight of fancy is that it’s a dragon spreadeagled in the shallows, perhaps relaxing, or maybe exfoliating — rubbing itself against the sand to remove old and cracked scales?

Thanks to Mary Chang Story Writer for the June prompt:

I write whimsical stories of colour, excitement, joy and revenge. And I'm kind of fascinated by words and language. And play, especially in teens and adults.
