The right time; the right angle.
I’m an amateur photographer with an old, mid-level DSLR camera. I don’t use Photoshop or other post-photography programs. Most of my photos are taken one-handed while walking my dog.
I depend on nature to give me the best shots.
I pay attention to how light and color look at different times of day. I take advantage of the golden hours — the first hour after sunrise and the last hour before sunset. Those are the times when an ordinary camera with an amateur photographer can take an extraordinary photo.
