April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Rust”

Limited edition rust finish Mercedes-Benz

So, back at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath art college campus, but this time walking along its perimeter. We step out of the gate, chattering nineteen to the dozen when I throw my head back and laugh, looking up. I freeze, stunned at the wondrous sight that meets my eyes. Is that an owl? Is that… my spirit animal? Whoa, what else did I miss, perched on the boundary wall? Was I too busy yapping to notice? This won’t do.

I do an about turn, return to the college gate, and walk slowly, observing. So many beautifully rusted works of art. These students are so talented. They collect all the metal waste and turn them into beautiful sculptures. I took several photos. But this one was my absolute favorite. Do you see the Mercedes-Benz logo? And the gears on top?

There is so much to see when we slow down and look, no? Note to self: next time, I should take a selfie with this beauty.

Also, don’t laugh — but I just saw Sandi’s story, then Mary’s and thought, why not have a threesome and wrote my own quickly just so they could be grouped together. Haha!
